Division is Multiplication by Inverse

Dividing by a number is the same as multiplying by the multiplicative inverse of that number. More precisely:

a / b = a ⋅ (1 / b)

Here are some examples:

5 / 7 = 5 ⋅ (1 / 7)

(1 + x) / y = (1 + x) ⋅ (1 / y)

(m ⋅ n) / 2 = (m ⋅ n) ⋅ (1 / 2)
