Subtraction Property

Subtracting a number is the same as adding the inverse of the number. More precisely:

a - b = a + (b ⋅ (-1))

Here are some examples:

5 - 7 = 5 + (7 ⋅ (-1))

x - y = x + (y ⋅ (-1))

(m ⋅ n) - 2 = (m ⋅ n) + (2 ⋅ (-1))
